Clearday ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Miles Hill. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Clearday at yourclearday.com.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we access the following data solely to provide the app's core functionality:

Google Account info — your name, email address, and profile photo, used to identify your account.
Google Tasks — your task lists and tasks, used to display, create, edit, and complete tasks within Clearday.
Google Calendar — your calendar events, used to find available time slots and schedule tasks on your behalf.
Gmail — read-only access to your unread emails, used to identify action items and suggest tasks. We never send emails on your behalf.

How We Use Your Information

To display and manage your tasks from Google Tasks
To schedule tasks on your Google Calendar
To scan your Gmail for action items and suggest tasks (only when you initiate a scan)
To generate AI-powered task prioritization and morning briefings using Anthropic's Claude
To send push notifications if you opt in to morning briefings

Data Storage

Clearday does not store your Google Tasks, Calendar, or Gmail data on our servers. Data is fetched in real time and processed temporarily to provide the service. Push notification subscriptions are stored securely in our database (Supabase) solely to deliver morning briefings.

User preferences (theme, tags, schedule rules) are stored locally in your browser's localStorage and are not transmitted to our servers.

AI Processing

Clearday uses Anthropic's Claude API to prioritize tasks, extract action items from emails and notes, and generate morning briefings. Task titles and relevant context are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as necessary to provide the service (Google APIs, Anthropic API, Vercel hosting, Supabase database).

Data Deletion

You can revoke Clearday's access to your Google account at any time by visiting Google Account Permissions. To delete your push notification subscription, contact us at the email below.

Security

We use OAuth 2.0 for authentication, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and secure token storage. We never store your Google password.

Children's Privacy

Clearday is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
